 Tuff-Boom's design assures long-term success in keeping debris, boaters and vandals away from critical water intakes, spillways, marinas or beaches. The TuffBoom® design has been proven at dams and power plants across the United States and Canada.
Booms are made of thick-walled, rotationally molded plastic, containing maximum UV inhibitors and anti-oxidants for long-term outdoor use. Closed cell polystyrene foam fill provides buoyancy even if boom is punctured. A heavy internal steel channel runs the length of the boom for added strength, rigidity and support. All inter-boom connections are bolted to this steel channel. The standard boom color is traffic orange; alternate colors, as well as lettering, lighting, signage, and optional reflectors can also be provided.

 Turbidity curtains prevent the migration of silts or debris from construction sites near water. Turbidity curtains help settle silts in sedimentation ponds and prevent the mixing of clear and turbulent waters. Each turbidity curtain has a floating boom, a barrier fabric or membrane, and a ballasting pocket with or without chain installed as ballast. Ready-to-deploy units come in 50 or 100 foot sections. Accessories allow additional anchoring when needed, and end grommets allow units to be interconnected to span several hundred feet.
